OXFORD, UK  — OCTOBER 10, 2025

Oxford Cancer Analytics (OXcan), the diagnostics company combining advanced proteomics with artificial intelligence, today announced the appointment of Simon Meier as Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Founder CEO Dr. Peter Liu, who has stepped down to pursue other interests.

Simon joins OXcan with more than two decades of experience in healthcare investment and operations. He spent close to 20 years at Roche in Basel, including 15 years as Investment Director at the Roche Venture Fund, where he invested in diagnostics, biotech, and digital health companies and served on boards across the US and Europe. For 5 years, he built and led a Business Development and Partnering team for Roche Diagnostics Information Solutions, based partly in San Francisco. In this role, he explored and concluded global alliances with GE HealthCare, Accenture, Microsoft, IBM, and Amazon Web Services.

Since returning from the US, Simon has been an independent investor and has served as a board member and investment committee member. He holds a business degree from the University of St. Gallen.

Simon's appointment follows a period of significant momentum for OXcan, including the close of its Series A funding round and the expansion of its collaborations in the UK, Canada, and the US.
